Underwater Archaeology

Every diver dreams of making that exciting find, some hidden treasure from hundreds of years ago, a long lost shipwreck or just something dropped overboard.
Somerset Divers has been running training courses in Underwater Archaeology in association with the Nautical Archaeology Society.

NAS International Training Programme is open to everybody who is interested in learning more about maritime archaeology. Internationally recognised it provides the knowledge and skills to help you get involved with projects in the UK and around the world. With a modular structure and a choice of specialist courses the programme offers the chance to get as involved as you like, whether you are interested in carrying out surveys, taking photographs, geophysics or even making ancient tools the NAS has something for you!

If you would like to take part in the Nautical Archaeology Society courses just email somersetdivers@hotmail.co.uk
